Community Supported Agriculture
2008 Membership Information
Fresh from our Gardens to you!
Eat Healthy & Be healthy in 2008
What is Community Supported Agriculture CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture is an international movement that connects community members and farmers. It is an opportunity for folks who like to eat locally grown organic fruits and vegetables to partner with people who like to grow them so that we all can benefit. The CSA we offer to you would provide you with fresh, in season produce and flowers on a weekly basis. We commit to providing these things to you in exchange for you providing us with financial support in the spring.
What this means for YOU:
- Weekly home deliveries of your Harvest Box or convenient pick-up at 3 locations at Medford, Talent and Ashland.
- 2 size options
- 2 length of season options
- Recipes and news from the farm
- 10% CSA Member discount at our Grower's Market booth
- Personal satisfaction! You are contributing to the survival and success of a small family farm.
What this means for US:
- Healthy, co-operative existence! Your financial contribution in the spring is directly invested in seeds, soil amendment, and other necessities that we need to ensure season long production.
- Networking! Getting to know like minded folks in our community and continuing to spread positive practices.
- Expanding!Reaching folks who cannot for one reason or another come to our growers markets or buy our produce in grocery stores is important to us. The CSA is an opportunity for MORE people to eat healthy, eat locally grown, and eat organically.
Your Harvest Box:
In farming there are no absolute guarantees and every year is different. Change is a constant in farming and your Harvest Box will reflect these seasonal changes. These things aside, our commitment in the CSA is to grow and consistently provide you with a wide variety of fresh produce and flowers. When there are things we cannot grow, they may be supplied by other certified organic farmers. We will let you know in the weekly newsletter if this is the case.
Each week your harvest box will contain items from each of these 5 categories, as they become seasonally available:
- Cooking vegetables: Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, carrots, Onions, Beans, Peas, Corn
- Salad vegetables & Greens: Lettuce, Spinach, Kales, Chards, Arugula, Tomatoes, Cucumbers
- Salad mix: Our fresh mix of baby greens including up to 12 different types
- Flower bouquet: Fresh cut, in season flower bunches or mixed bouquets
- Seasonal varieties: Berries, Melons, Peppers, Tomatoes, Herbs, and other delights!
Delivery: Boxes will be delivered on Thursdays in the late afternoon/ early evening. Deliveries to outlying areas may be subject to an additional charge, or other pick-up options may be arranged. Grants Pass Members may pick up their boxes at the Growers Market in Grants Pass on Saturdays.
2008 CSA HARVEST BOX SIGN UP
This year we will offer 2 price structures based on your choice of home delivery, or picking up your box at one of 3 locations.
2008 Pricing:
We are offering two levels of membership in our CSA depending on what size box you want and how many weeks you'd like to have deliveries. Delivered boxes are only $2 more per week to cover fuel and driver expense. At about $21 per week, the partial share harvest box will provide enough food and flowers for one-two people, depending on appetite. The full share, at about $30 per week, will provide enough food and flowers for 2-4 people, accordingly.

Projected Availability:
We like to give you some idea of what types of produce are available at certain times of the year, but keep in mind that this is a very general outline.
Most likely there will be great variance from this projected schedule.
Try as we might to have the widest range of availability for each type of produce and each crop, there are many factors beyond our control.
Such is the way in organic farming, and thus we learn to be flexible and do the best we can with what we have available to us at the time.
With all of that in mind, we wanted to provide some sort of guideline for the availability of each crop. Please take this projected availability with flex.
Thank you!

We are also offering a weekly flower subscription, without vegetables. This will consist of 4-5 bunches of individual flower types delivered once a week to your door or picked up at one of our pick-up spots. This will allow you to do your own flower arranging by mixing your individual bunches to make beautiful bouquets for your home. This membership costs $20 a week if picked up or delivered with your harvest box. If we are only delivering your flowers, the fuel charge is an extra $2 per week, making your weekly subscription $22/week.
